It Is Finished
My latest book (full cover title Jesus said: It Is Finished. What does that mean exactly? Why did Jesus have to die? ) describes how the events of the Bible from creation to the crucifixion are tied together by the blood covenant. Not a lot is taught about the blood covenant but it is the theme of the Old Testament. Everything leads up to and is tied into the blood covenant and Jesus's crucifixion. Jesus died so we could be forgiven for our sins, yes, that is correct. But it was not so that we could just live happily ever after (what we call salvation). His purpose was for us to be able to have fellowship with Him and the Godhead as God intended from the beginning of creation.

As a result of His life, death, and crucifixion, Jesus established the institution of communion. That's right, communion is not just an act or a concept, it is the means of establishing relationship between the Godhead and humankind. It is why He died. If you did not realize that, you will love this book.

Why Read This Book?

It Is Finished is intended for a broad audience. For those that do not believe in the existence of God or the accuracy of the Bible, it highlights the internal evidence of the legitimacy of the Bible and God's existence. For those that believe in God but have not asked Him to be their Lord and Savior, the clear plan of salvation is laid out. The mercy, goodness, and love of God can be understood by reading this book. For those that are saved but do not realize the purpose of the Old Testament, it will be clear after this book. If you are not aware of the true meaning of the blood covenant, or not even aware of what a blood covenant is, this book will inform you. Perhaps you think you understand communion. Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but after this book there will be no doubt. You will also see the importance of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and what it means for us today.

The Cover

Just before Jesus died, with His arms stretched out on the cross, He said "It is finished." On the Day of Atonement the High Priest entered into the Holy of Holies and sprinkled the blood of a sacrificed animal of the altar. When he completed this task, he stretched out his arms and said in Hebrew the equivalent of the English, "It is finished." The cover of this book depicts a High Priest in the Holy of Holies sprinkling blood on the Holy Altar. The book describes the complete meaning of "It is finished."
